Hi all !

Well, i wanted to talk about the Registration in our website for new players.. 

Yesterday i was helping someone to download NeoGk mod from Troll-game website, Well its very complicated, the new registers dont have permission to download or to view any topic i told him to go to this topic

May he leave his Welcome to get permission but unfortunately he cant view the topic and i think people are too lazy to do that when they want to register in this website , and many people also dont know how to do that , i suggest to delete all this security process  because we dont need it after we moved to legit, i think BlackDeath already know that and Aenue too , but why it didt removed it ?.. many guys ask me about that , but still i cant help them to what to do so they can start to be free to view or download any thing.

1. This "Welcome-post" is free thing to do, nobody forces to new users to do this, and don't need make this to have access to downloads. It is only an act of good manners, and is there if anyone wants to make this his first post.
2. Only need for new users is make one post (whatever in some topic) to start to use Tavern-chat for first time.
3. Download page and patches are free for all users (even if they are not registered).
4. Security in website remains like it is now.
5. Users need stay registered and log to join us to access most things in community, and because this is better way we have to improve with website-security.

 

ps: BUT if them can't download any still...   hmm, maybe because they were banned in website, and this is only rank who have restrictions 100% in all, so...

Well , user or not he cant download , its says you dont have permission to view this topic, and also he cant see the welcome topic below, he is new and not banned.

He cant see download , he say that he got something says " You dont have permission to view post"

Are you talking about downloads section or a specific topic ? Can he do a screenshot ?

Hmm, really I think that maybe a banned member (some used more that one IP in the past) trying to see website, and all in website for this banned people is restricted, because ban is for all IP's, e-mails, etc... he can use/used,

so if some of them were banned already, please don't try help them in this way (not saying that you are doing this. only I'm thinking about it)

btw, if you want give things you have downloaded already, using some other way, you are free to do like this.

 

And I repeat again, for other new users, registered or not, all downloads are free and don't need log to have access this page or files.

 

Also maybe that this people have browser (firefox, explorer, opera, whatever they use) blocked for some software he is using (antivir or popups-block, etc), and this is avoiding he can access, but is strange, because I have many tools like this running into my browser and I can access (like guest) without troubles.

he maybe new now... but banned in the past...?   (if Yes, this is the problem )

one more, can you tell us name/s of them?
then we can check accounts (if have) to looking for errors/restrictions/permissions or same

@LockDog, restrictions for banned changed a little bit, to let at least access to downloads page, so if some of this people had this problem, now is fixed
