It should work just fine. Don't put line breaks into that code—that means, use the code within a single text line; otherwise, it might not work.
I mean, I just tested it and it works fine for me right now…

It does, but that affects only a text string, URL remains unaltered.

I was simply referring to the part where he mentioned that he couldn't embed videos. I tested it and worked for me at that time. Since embedding videos is basically a server-side operation—as long as the user input is correct—I saw no reason why it shouldn't have worked.

I mean, BBforum code is not (or might not be) case-sensitive but is very sensitive to all residual white spaces, line breaks or &nbsps. So, assuming the Youtube's URL was copied correctly, I just suggested to check if his browser, OS, plug-ins, WYSIWYG, he (if he adds the tag directly) or something else does not eventually input some residual-hidden formating into the code.

 

For example, none of the following simple examples of embedding videos using BBforum's media code will work, not even the third one.
