So, how about making a (somewhat) regular Cossacks event on Sundays ? We can use this thread to agree on a time.

 

Btw, we have players of all levels, so even if you never played Cossacks but want to give it a shot, you're welcome to join us !

 

I suggest 15:00 GMT.

You can see that most of his videos involve PT of 20 minutes, and how the games go. For me it's kind of boring and repetitive.

 

map size - I think big maps make sense when there's more than 4 players. Otherwise it just takes a lot for armies to travel.

 

So, my proposal is to play on a big map, but without peace time. A big map gives a sort of peace time because you can't really rush, but also you don't have to wait so long before attacking.

 

Anywas, I'll be playing with England. The time is ok then, 15:00 GMT ?

Their pikemen don't require iron, strong 17th century dragoon, and the strongest cuirassier in game. There are drawbacks of course - cheaper things are of lower quality, and the good stuff is more expensive. But oh well

Quite simple to play with,limited troop choice but every troop is very good,70/75 shot power if you upgrade the basic infantry right.

So we'll go with 10m PT then. Faction for begginers - as I suggested to Skull, choose one that doesn't have many exceptions or unique units. Something like Hungary - if you look here, you can see that it's pretty simple. You can try in skirmish single-player any of them and see which one you like.

 

There's also the eastern nations, they're pretty cool as well. Algeria, especially - can produce an infinity of archers in 1 second And they're stronger than the merc archers.

It was a good time, and I hope that we can count more community members in for the battles soon. Also very different atmosphere to TG Warband servers with more relaxed gameplay, very nice for a change. Maybe we can try some Player vs Player matches soon too, at least when everyone's levels of skill have, ehm, evened a bit.

I recommend trying out Cossacks Back to War to all community guys and girls, if you like Warband you are surely the right kind of player for this game too.

Good game today guys Skull's Ukraine saved both me and Parzi in the early game. Parzi, you asked why the AI's grenadiers were much stronger - it's probably because you didn't research some upgrades from the academy:

 

Design Bayonet: Barrel Inserted, Bayonet with a Tube (Cold steel weapons stab +7)

Research New Steel Grades (Grenadier melee attack efficiency +25%)

Especially the "new steel grades" one, it's very expensive (43000 gold) but makes you grenadiers much, much stronger.

Yea Skull too bad, but your rally pointed serdjuks were very useful even after you left

 

Too bad you didn't set a rally for the cossacks as well !
