No, viking doors are better because they allow defenders to shot attackers while they destroy the gates.

Hm, ok after compare+test the 2 options (actual and mine new edited) I must agree this, so maybe better don't change any in Brunwud.

All remains same.

Blackdeath, any chance to get oil above the gate house on Tirith? The attackers have been given a battering ram. As we all know, the first flag prior to the ram usually goes fast. I think this will only expedite it. I think the defenders needs something to counter it to some degree. Since the gate controls are above the gate. Not sure if this will impede your ability to place oil there. If so...is it possible to put in a tower there?

If i only knew the names of the maps :D but you know this one...the map with the big fat hills..there is a shore and mainly the attacks coming towards a big passage and facing the defenders wall (with 2 or 3 gates in it). there are although several ballons for the attacks at the main spawn.

my suggestion, because this map is always very fast taken by the attackers...the attackers can come from 4 directions (by ballon, straight from the front, from left and right passages) seeing it from the attackers view, the right way leads through the mountains and the left one faces a little stone-wall, that cant be crossed from the defenders side.

i would suggest to let the defenders also pass this little defensive wall. so they can start counter attacks and wont be killed by attackers archers hiding behind this. you got me? ;)

The oil can't destroy the ram. The ram was introduced because players complained about the first level takes to long to be captured. Now i've to add protections to help defenders ?!

The defenders can jump on the ram and destroy it.

Hard to say what is the map you're referring to. If you use our neogk you can see the map name under scoreboard.

King Arthur, to follow up on the Tirith Oil at front gate. I figured it wouldn't destroy the ram...no big deal on that. It's a system limitation. My view is this. I have played that map many times. I have seen the first flag get taken within minutes mores times than not and that is with me keeping 1 eye on the flag ready to warn the team. Ask PYRO Chivs that.....he can confirm that i yell FLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGG prob the most, if not top five overall! And the flags going quicker has been expedited cause of attackers smart treb siege engineer taking out doors and towers defending flags higher up. I am looking for the defenders to use the oil as attackers stream in to the broken down gate. This gate leads right to the first flag. So just a lil help to kill/wound some of the attackers would help. My own experience with the ram. The flag is going down even faster!!! Now how cool would it to see guys at ram getting cooked???!!!! Obv in medieval times....the rams were eventually protected by flame retardant materials.

Honestly the first flag on Minas was fine, second one is more challenging but getting the checkpoint before the third flag was always the most unbalanced part.

Minas Tirith is already a very hard map to cap. You have to rush quickly anytime otherwise you ll lack of time, no need to make it harder for attackers

i remember once, i capped flag 1 and 2 in the meantime, rushed the checkpoint before flag 3 but still lost.

Only when the defenders have players who knowledgeably know how to effectively defend a siege of this size (which doesn't happen very often) do I agree with this opinion. Adding the oil suggestion would add to more teamwork type play, for both teams.

It does make it a little bit more realistic. Fact is the Oil wont deal a ton of damage once the gate is down. Obv it has to reload. Still with as many times i played this map. I only saw it 2 times where the first flag was never taken. Seen many many times where the first flag goes within mins after the towers arrive. How about this, bring the towers closer initially...helps attackers....give oil to defenders!! Lets face...its boredom for about 1 min until the towers arrive.
